"Você", which is the Portuguese word for "you", almost always gets abbreviated in informal context, both in speach and in informal writing. What I find funning is that it is abbreviated differently. In speech, "você" is truncated to just the final "...cê" (at least here in Rio). In writing it is abbreviated to "vc". Both are just two letters. If "você" is two letters too long, why do Brazilians not abbreviate it to "ce" in informal writing, to match they way they speak?
