Python Implementation of Markdown

Python-Markdown is a python port of John Gruber's Markdown.

Qualitative Research Tools

Earnote Transcription Tool is a combination of a text editor and an MP3 player designed to support time-stamped transcription of mp3 files (e.g. for transcribing interviews) and playback of mp3 files using the timestamped transcription (or just timestampted notes) as an index.  In other words, if you have text with timestamps, you can easily play audio starting with any time stamp. To be honest, I haven't been using it myself recently, finding that it still can't beat Emacs.
